A list of any current medications is also helpful for our providers.
1st Session – Intake
This typically includes signing of initial paperwork and is an information gathering session. This is an opportunity for us to better understand your needs as a client, determine appropriateness of services, and allow you the chance to get to know your therapist.
2nd Session – Treatment Plan
The second meeting allows you to further explain your hopes for therapy, and establish goals for treatment in collaboration with your therapist.
Notices
Telehealth Services
In-person therapy sessions are our primary model for addressing client-specific goals. If barriers arise to attend in-person sessions, teletherapy or telehealth services can be arranged in communication with families and at the discretion of your therapist.
Medication Needs
Rivers Edge Psychological Services does not have a psychiatrist on staff. We are unable to prescribe medication as a treatment method. We are happy to collaborate with primary care physicians and outside psychiatrists to address medical needs.
Service Animals
If you bring your service animal to the clinic, they must be on a leash at all times.
Our experience enables us to offer effective outpatient psychological care that is individualized to meet your needs.
